AUTONOMY part 2

Homosexuals are notorious for saying that God made them that way, and some ‘preachers’ reinforce this belief with false confirmations that oppose God’s Word.

One such preacher by the name of Rev. Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith (A Black man with long braids who appeared in the movie: The Secret) while on the Oprah Winfrey show earlier this year (2009) he told a featured guest on the show who was struggling with his homosexuality, that because he was a homosexual God made him unique and special that way. And the other preacher on that show (who’s name escapes me at present) backed him up!

Then a surprised Oprah said it was the first time in history on her show that ministers said God made homosexuals that way! While the values of society change to and fro with every wind of doctrine, God's Word does not change:

"Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind: it is abomination. (Leviticus 18:22)"

If anybody knows this, true preachers of the Lord and anybody with sincere interest in God's Word know it. For these 'men of god' to say that God makes homosexuals to be the way they are, not only do they attempt to deceive the hearer to set them up for destruction, they attack God's credibility.

This is what the world has come to:

A man with the title of Reverend Doctor of Divinity speaks words that oppose God’s Word on national and international television with an audience of millions and perhaps billions, people who don’t read and know the Bible for themselves believe him, the individual homosexual on Oprah’s show who was seeking help is further hardened in his unbelief of God’s Word, he becomes wide open and more vulnerable to sex-demon possession, he proceeds full steam ahead in sin, and is practically guaranteed an eternal destination in hell.

When it comes to our autonomy - herein lies the Greatest Of Dangers:

The free-will choice to IGNORE God's Word by NOT reading it, NOT studying God’s Word, and NOT praying to God are the most devastating and destructive choices of all: for such a one is wide open to being swept away by the LIES of the Enemy.

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (Matthew 7:13-14)"

If and when we find ourselves on the wrong road in a cursed state, it is helpful to understand that God did not sit high from His throne and look down low into our reality waiting for us to mess up and then seek to curse our lives. This is NOT how it works. Curses are predestinated!

The punishment for sin is already explained and warned about in God’s Word: they are laid out and set before one chooses that course whether one reads the Bible or not. If one travels down the road of destruction, all the destructive things that tear a person’s life down are pre-set along that road way before one makes the choice to travel down that road.

The same is true for the blessings and prosperity that God promises to those who obey Him. The blessings are predetermined (the blessings of the Lord maketh rich and addeth no sorrow with it) way before one chooses to go down that road, we read about them ahead of time in God’s Word and we discover them one by one as we continue traveling down God’s road of life.

Satan wants people to believe that the road of destruction is a one way road. In other words, the devil doesn’t want people to believe they can choose to turn around! If we know anything about ourselves, we better know that while we still live, while there is still breath in our bodies and the blood is still pumping warm in our veins, that we can ALWAYS choose to turn around – we can choose to get off that road of destruction, and get on the straight and narrow road of God’s forgiveness, mercy, blessings and prosperity.

The autonomy that God so freely gives mankind is an opportunity for us to figure out that God’s thoughts are higher than our thoughts, that God’s ways are higher than our ways, that God is a good god who has our best interest at heart, and is totally worthy of our surrender and worship. He invites us to test Him and see if He won’t bless us the way He promised us. And once we discover He is the God of unconditional love, mercy and grace that He says He is, this is when the Believer surrenders all God-given autonomy back to Him.

In that essence, while neither God’s road nor Satan’s road are one way streets in which somebody can’t change their mind, hopefully one would be happy about the fact that they can turn off Satan’s road to destruction and get on God’s superhighway to blessings in which they would never wish to turn around!
