Element Of Freedom
73To Change Or Not To Change - That Is The Question!
"And the day came when the risk it took to remain tightly closed in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to bloom. This is the element of freedom." --Alicia Keys
Appropriately named "The Element Of Freedom" this beautiful young lady's album is terrific and highly recommended to those who love and appreciate beautiful piano pieces, captivating music and uplifting words of encouragement. The above quote is found on the leading prelude track of the album - simple, to the point and quite thought-provoking.
Alicia Keys' quote reminded me that people can be free physically, but still be imprisoned mentally and/or
spiritually. Similar to the butterfly - we all have a God-ordained
destiny to fulfill that is far more glorious than we can possibly
perceive in these limited bodies of flesh.
But if we follow the path God has set before us as outlined in the
Bible, we will fly way above the cares and troubles of this world, both
in this life and the next. Only GOD knows our full potential and He
gives us a glimpse of those possibilities through His Word.
But that full potential can't manifest until we are willing to go
through the cocoon: let the old nature die, be transformed, get out of
our comfort zone, release baggage of the past life, release old ways of
thinking (humanism), take on a new Godly nature by reading/meditating
and obeying God's Word and releasing our God-given faith; trusting The
One who will shape and mold us into something way better than we could
be without Him!
Some preachers say 'don't lie' by making new year's resolutions you
know you'll never keep, but I prefer to show you the possibilities of
how to attain your heart's desire! However, when the caterpillar gets a
glimpse of the butterfly he is ultimately meant to become, he must
decide whether the 'cocoon' experience will be worth it or not.
Unfortunately for some it's not worth the risk because they would
rather grovel on their bellies than lose SELF in the cocoon - so by
choice they NEVER change. Which one is free, the caterpillar or the
butterfly?
Like Alicia Keys said, for those who BELIEVE in and act on God's Word,
we recognize that the risk of staying in the lower caterpillar state is
far more painful than the risk of becoming a butterfly - something we
are completely unfamiliar with.
Through His life here on earth, JESUS showed us what our full potential
is, and how to get there through prayer and obedience to Our Father in
Heaven. Some of Jesus' resume includes performing miracles of
supernatural debt release, complete healing & restoration, complete
mastery over evil, casting out demons, raising dead folks back to life
- and He told us by faith and by His grace, we would do (could do) even
GREATER works than He did! Are we?
"Verily, verily I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that
I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do;
because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name,
that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye
shall ask anything in my name, I will do it. John 14:12-14"
Now that's what I call God-given POWER! We can't know what it means to
do the greater works of a butterfly if we refuse to have FAITH and go
through the cocoon to become FREE!!! Amen!
Personally, I can't afford to miss the full potential of what God has in store for me! How about you? BE BLESSED!!!

Thank you for this wonderful hub that exalts God and encourages our full potential in His power. I am a butterfly and will not fly away (smile).
May His unfailing love and grace be with you!
