Is God's Wisdom Absent?

What You Don't Know Can Kill You!

Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge...”

I heard a preacher teach that in the original Hebrew language, the proper interpretation is “My people are destroyed for lack of THE knowledge.” To put it simply, there’s a huge difference between going to visit someone at a white house and going to visit someone at The White House! Without THE knowledge of God, eternal and abundant life is impossible.

How tragic and ironic it is for even God’s people to be victimized and killed by a lack of the knowledge of God even though they have total access to His omniscience! So what’s really going on?

In some cases, people are ignorant because they can’t afford higher education. Sometimes information is just not available and innocent or unintentional ignorance is the result.

But when it comes to the knowledge of God, God has always made His presence and His availability known to us through nature itself, The Bible, and by the preachers God sends to prepare the Church; all of whom are witnesses that speak on God’s behalf.

Due to this being the Age of Information and by virtue of the fact that information is so widely available, when it comes to the ignorance of the knowledge of God, in most cases it must be said that such ignorance is a result of IGNORING Him one way or the other.

This slap-in-the-face rejection of God’s Truth leads to the entrapment of total deception from Satan. It’s a crying shame to believe one has been flying high like an eagle when all he’s really been doing is wearing Satan’s virtual reality glasses and stirring up mess in the hog pen!

Through the selfish ways of this world, the Devil has deceived foolish folk into believing they are smarter or superior to God, and thusly the world feels they have no need to seek God out and surrender to Him on a daily basis in every area of life.

Just like swine have no ability to perceive the value of a thing, unregenerated man has an unfortunate tendency to trample on God’s priceless pearls of wisdom and virtue.

Satan persuaded the first human beings thousands of years ago into believing they could outsmart and override God by convincing them that God didn’t have their best interest at heart, that God’s Word couldn’t be trusted and that they could become their own little ‘g’ god! Why pray, pick up a Bible, listen to a preacher and obey God when we can be our own god?

Even though God created us for His own loving purposes, human suffering is at an all time high in the world today because of mankind’s selfishnss and failure to understand the devastating results of ignoring the wisdom of God.

This Word Lives!

God is still talking, but are we listening?
God is still talking, but are we listening?

Since the beginning, the Devil has been trying to talk God's people out of trusting in His unconditional love towards us, as well as God's many promises to prosper us if we live for Him, and the Devil has convinced us to worship SELF (aka: the I-god).

People who think too highly of themselves suffer from a false superiority complex. They may never say it verbally but deep in their hearts, they believe they are superior to God and they attempt to create their heaven here on earth.

Thusly, they do not seek out God’s will for their lives and they eventually cause God to resist and withdraw from them.

This disconnect factor is a result of people exercising their God-given autonomy the wrong way. By choosing to reject the power, protection and provisions that God makes so freely and abundantly available, people cut off the life-force of God’s Love and eventually self-destruct.

This intentional rejection of the knowledge of God brings destruction because the improper use of our autonomy (freedom of choice) disconnects us from the only true source of life: The Life Of God.

This is why our autonomy must be surrendered to the Lord by following the example of Jesus Christ who when given the choice to preserve Himself or to save The Church said, “Father, not My will but Thy will be done.”

In doing so, Jesus demonstrated that despite the way a situation might look, and no matter how intensely we might feel in the midst of our tough circumstances, that self-sacrifice to save others who don't deserve it pleases God, it activates the supernatural power of God into our lives, and it leads to everlasting life.

Jesus taught that selfishness always leads to fear, unbelief, disconnect, isolation and self-destruction. Without the God-connection, like a branch broken from it's vine- it looks good for a while but slowly withers to death.

Therefore and in conclusion, we seek a closer personal relationship with God diligently every day because we recognize His loving ways as being far superior to the world's ways of greed and selfishness. Let's not allow intentional ignorance (the rejection of God's knowledge) to rob us of God's precious gifts!

Most church folk spend about 1-2 hours per week in worship, but how much time do we actually spend seeking out God’s wisdom and knowledge? If we REALLY know that a lack of the knowledge of God can destroy our lives, why would we fail to make our best effort to seek out God’s wisdom? Is there anything more important than the knowledge of God?

As we come to know God better by spending more and more time with Him, we learn His ways, we learn how to recognize and reject Satan's ways of fear, hate, selfishness, lack and greed, and we learn to live the abundant life of God’s unconditional love, faith, and prosperity: we operate by the supernatural power that Jesus promised us. What A Blessing!

Ohhh, praise God, brother! I didn't have the financial blessing to attend college, nevertheless all my children were deemed as "gifted". I was amazed that very "intelligent" people would often tell me how "intelligent" I was/am, and I had to realize that worldly book knowledge is not the greater necessity in this life. The Holy Bible, and its rightful interpretation is the very most important knowledge we need. It's the Book our Creator, our Father gave to us in order to really live, both physically and spiritually.

There are so many study tools available to help us "rightly divide the Word of truth". And there are so many teachers out there that at least provoke the questions of which the answers are confirmed or rejected through personal study and prayer for the wisdom of God to guide us.

I find that the more "worldly knowledge" a person has, sometimes it becomes a stumbling block to "spiritual knowledge" for they oftentimes do not agree. One truly must find and choose the truth. Worldly knowledge "puffs up" (ego, the I-god as you say) and the Spiritual knowledge "edifies", which is to strengthen and equip us to do the work of the Lord of which He has called us to do.

I thank God for His Spirit in you and the awesome, truthful sharing you have posted in your hubs. I am thoroughly encouraged and blessed; yes, edified!

This is high praise from somebody who has written so powerfully yourself. Indeed, you are the one who has encouraged me, and spurred me on to write further as an encouragement to others. I appreciate your sincere love for God and The Body of Christ.

Thank you ~ we are of the one and same Spirit of God. You have spiritual eyes and inspiration, and for this, the readers are fed of spiritual food. They will "eat" of the "tree of life" and drink "water" where they will never thirst again. Hallelujiah!

Bless The Lord! One of my mentors in the Lord taught me something about this pilgrim's journey. He said "Every now and then, you'll meet a traveler."

He was talking about how God would lead us to cross paths with another like-minded Believer; one that will encourage you right at a time where you need it the most.

As the Lord allows, I am looking forward to more of these mutually beneficial exchanges, and I would love to meet others of the same mind.

By the way, you've touched on the reason as to why I named this ministry The Fount. It is my endeavor to allow this livng water that comes from God to flow as freely as possible.

I'm praying for your ministry as well, that it may continue to flourish unto the glory of God unhindered and with life-changing power.

Continue To Be Blessed!
