The 'All Power' Of Believers

what Will You Do With All That Power?

It almost seems blasphemous for anybody to say they have ‘All Power’ because we know that only God has ALL power.  But what if God said, “All of My power is yours.”  Would you believe Him?  And if you believed Him, and you received this awesome power from God what would you do with it?  Consider the following scriptures very closely:

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.  Matthew 28:18-20″

That phrase ‘go ye therefore’ is critical to understanding this point.  First, Jesus said ‘all power’ had been given unto Him; He had it because He had defeated Satan and the kingdom of darkness on the cross, and God the Father had raised Him from the dead.

Then He said to His disciples “go ye therefore” and perform the mission of evangelism outreach.  It’s just like saying, ‘Because of what I have, and because you are in Me and have the same mind about lost souls, you have all the power that I have to do this while I’m gone.’

All the power of God is available to perform this mission, the gates of hell shall not prevail against His Church; He already gave Believers keys to the kingdom with the ability to bind and loose (release), to tread on serpents and scorpions, to cast out devils and to heal the sick. He taught us in His Word that we shall have the desires of our hearts, that we shall have whatever we say out of our mouths, and that according to our faith these things shall be done unto us.

In His Word, He let us know that we are victors and not victims, no weapon formed against us shall prosper, that with the faith He has given us we can overcome any negative situation.  Promises from God like these are too numerous to list here, but here’s another important one: Jesus told His disciples they would do even greater works than He did!

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.  John 14:12″

Jesus is letting His people know that even though He won’t be with us physically, all the miracle-making power He had is available to us as we perform the same mission He came to earth for:  to seek and to save that which is lost.

In other words, ‘all power’ from God is not available for selfish or evil purposes, but to fulfill evangelism outreach within our sphere of influence no matter how big or small.  Jesus would not say it if it were not possible or true; in order to do greater works than Jesus did, the power of God is available to the Believer and accessible by the Believer.

Child of God, what will you do with all the power that God gave you?  Blessings!  –The Fount
