We Need A Resolution!!
70A Brief Lesson On True Forgiveness That Only Works From The Inside Out
Jesus saw the sins of every human being that would believe on Him before He went to The Cross, and bore the curse of those sins anyway. Jesus knew the consequences ahead of time; that The Father would abandon Him and unleash the fullness of God’s wrath against Him; not for sins of His own, but for ours. Now THAT’S Love!!
By virtue of the definition of Eternal Salvation, if you are indeed saved by faith, there is no sin Jesus hasn’t already paid for: Your lifetime of sins was consumed in the body of Jesus Christ once and for all at The Cross! The Law of Double Jeopardy says that God won’t punish you for sins Jesus was already punished for on your behalf. Do You Believe That?
Your belief in whether you’re TOTALLY forgiven by God already or not means the difference in whether you can love and be loved by others right, because you can’t give what you don’t have and you can’t recognize in others what’s not in you!
If we fail to recognize how unconditionally loved and forgiven by God we really are; that we don’t have to prove ourselves worthy to Him and that He simply loves us for who we are and not what we can do for Him –if we fail to recognize He loves us perfectly despite our imperfections, then we can’t receive His perfect love and love others the same way.
If we reject God’s Love for us, we reject Him. Why? Because God is love:
“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” I John 4:8
If we believe God doesn’t love us or hasn’t forgiven us in any way, shape or form, then we are left with overwhelming guilt, condemnation and shame issues on the inside that are caused by our own failures in life.
That which is on the inside always shows up on the outside, and that’s why people who have not received God’s unconditional love and forgiveness have difficulty forgiving others; those who are condemned, guilt-ridden and shame-filled on the inside heap the same on others –they can’t help it because it’s all they know.
Many find themselves on the unfortunate and seemingly inescapable merry-go-round of despair when it comes to dealing with difficult people all because they haven’t focused on God’s Love for us all like they should. The more we focus on God’s love for us, the more we’ll fall in love with Him:
“We love him, because he first loved us.” I John 4:19
We need to recognize God not only loves us with our difficult SELVES, but He loves the ones we’re having difficulties with as well. Our lack of ability to deal with difficult people is simply a reflection of the unconditional love and forgiveness we still need to receive from God and mature in! Those who can’t, don’t or won’t forgive have no concept of how forgiven by God they themselves are –it’s that simple.
The Offer-er is fully accepted by God due to the perfection of The Offering. Do you know who Your Offering’s Name is? His Name Is Jesus! EVERY sin throughout your life (past, present & future) was fully consumed in the body of Jesus Christ at The Cross and completely removed:
“Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” John 1:29
The work of removing the Believers’ sins that Jesus performed at The Cross over 2,000 years ago is completely complete! KNOW this well because from God’s perspective it’s never a matter of us asking Him for fresh forgiveness of unexpected sins. He knew what we would do before the beginning of time, forgave us for that sin, paid for that sin and removed the consequences of that sin! Are you getting this?
WE might be surprised at some of the things we do after becoming saved, but Jesus Who Is Eternal God in the flesh saw it all and knew what He was getting into when He chose to suffer, die and endure hell on our behalf! God is NOT saying “Wow, look at everything I did to save your soul from a burning hell and you’re still sinning?” Therefore when it comes to the sins we commit, our daily lives are simply a discovery of how forgiven we really are!
Yes, go to Him and ask for forgiveness but be sure to THANK HIM for the forgiveness you know He already granted 2,000 year ago. His forgiveness of your sins is outside of time because God is outside of time. Learn how to become forgiveness-conscious rather than sin-conscious because He already wiped your slate clean and positioned you to become just like Him!
His LOVE for us compelled Him to activate The Divine Exchange: He took on the sin of the world so that WE could take on His holiness, wisdom, authority in the Earth; His perfection, peace, power, provision & protection: our curses for His blessings. Hallelujah!!
This teaching about total forgiveness of sins by God’s grace is not to encourage more sin but just the opposite: to help you see how forgiven you really are in order to understand how LOVED you are by God. Be sure to take every sin you commit back to The Cross immediately, as not to condemn yourself but to recognize that THIS sin is paid for too –and sooner or later you’ll come to find it’s hard to sin against The Greatest Love of your life!
Keep your focus on God’s love for you no matter what you go through, no matter what you do, and no matter what’s done to you, and pretty soon it won’t matter what messy things others do to you –because your focus will be on God and His Love for you:
“We love Him because He first loved us.” I John 4:19
If you are forgiveness-conscious you will love God much, and only those who understand how forgiven they are can truly love and forgive others despite their stupidity.
Only those who recognize how loved and forgiven by God they are will have the sensitivity, tolerance and understanding necessary to properly deal with fools, idiots and haters who harass them on the regular; God loves and forgives them the same way God loves and forgives us, and the only sin sending people to a burning hell is the rejection of God’s Love and Forgiveness!
If you find it hard to deal with difficult people, start with your own relationship with God first, and you’ll find yourself in a better position to implement conflict resolution tactics rather than escalating. It’ll be impossible to love our enemies and to save lost souls the way Christ told The Believers if we haven’t believed on and received His love and forgiveness towards US! Amen!
